Le grand guide des vins de France (Bettane & Desseauve) – 2017

Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2017 – Bettane & Desseauve – France :
Purchased in 1958 by Raphael Gazaniol, a native of Morocco, the estate currently has 157 hectares, of which 63 are planted with vines, on the best exposed plots. Thus, 32 different plots are vinified separately and are selected for either the “basic” wine, already of high quality, either for the famous Cuvee Raphael, striking demonstration that a simple Bordeaux appellation can produce beautiful wines.

Wines of character, well-balanced and charming. A coherent range with a foolproof regularity. The Cuvée Raphaël is, in this vintage as always, frank, generous while remaining elegant, the Clairet 2015 is of high elegance, the white 2015 is fleshy and vigorous.

Château de Parenchère – Bordeaux Blanc Sec 2015: 13,5/20
Château de Parenchère – Bordeaux Clairet 2015: 14/20
Château de Parenchère – Bordeaux Supérieur 2014: 14/20
Château de Parenchère – Cuvée Raphaël 2014: 14,5/20
