James Suckling – 2018

Château de Parenchère – Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge 2015: 90 points
Aromas of iodine, wet earth, smoke and mulberries lead into flavors of cassis carried on fleshy, bold tannins that hold long. Try from 2020.

Cuvée Raphaël – Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge 2015: 91 points
A straight-out, delicious, medium-bodied red that offers plenty of ripe darker cherries and Berry fruit aromas and flavors amid fresh spiced chocolate, cocoa and fine-grained tannins. Best from 2020.

Esprit de Parenchère – Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge 2015: 92 points
The oak is strident but well played, cutting graphite and toasted spices into vibrant cassis and cherry fruits. It’s all really fresh. The palate has layers of berry pastries, mocha and dark-plum-fruit flavors. Smoothly rendered finish. Impressive wine. Try from 2020.

Château de Parenchère – Bordeaux Blanc Sec 2016: 89 points
Bright green and yellow citrus fruits as well as a gently grassy and fresh herbal edge. Soft, refreshing palate. Drink now.
